There are so many different skewers in the world, but have you ever tried an alligator meat skewer? If you have, then you would know how tasty they are, and how beautiful they look. If you haven’t, let me tell you about one of the best foods I have ever eaten. Alligator skewers are made of a few different types of vegetables, and strips of alligator meat. You can try alligator meat in restaurants throughout Indonesia’s islands.

These types of skewers taste amazing with onions and sweet peppers with the alligator meat on the skewer. The skewers originally look like any beef skewer, however, they are supposed to go well with rice, peanut sauce, and cucumbers. The peanut sauce makes the meat taste spicier, the way most people from tropical areas like it. The aftertaste is sweet, even though it does kind of taste like a crossover between chicken, and beef.

Besides tasting delicious, alligator meat has been described as a healthy meat source due to its high amount of protein, and low-fat composition. The place where I first tried it was on the Island of Sumatra in Indonesia. In addition to being in Indonesia, you can find different types of alligator meat in Florida’s Everglades National Park. Some grocery shops also contain frozen Alligator tail. Alligator meat is only eaten from alligators raised from birth. These alligators’ eggs were caught for consumption. Many people also eat just alligator eggs too.

In the mid-1800s, alligator meat was used in some regional cuisines in parts of America’s southern states. During this time, it was used in dishes such as gumbo, a soup from Louisiana. Alligator eggs were another part of the cuisines in many areas of the Southern United States in the early 1900s. During this time people would harvest the eggs and then sell them as a source of income! Unfortunately, in the United States, alligator hunting is still legal in Arkansas, South Carolina, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, and Texas. However, it is illegal in all other states without a permit.

Alligator skewers also have a varying look and texture, depending on the way you cook them. They might be crispy fried where they look like small doughnut holes on a stick and feel stiff. They might also be grilled and feel soft like halal chicken. In addition to being in skewers, alligator meat is also made in sandwiches, nuggets, burgers, and even steaks. Alligator nuggets would have a texture similar to chicken nuggets but would have a different taste. Other forms of Alligator meat would also look like other similar meals, like alligator burgers looking like average beef burgers.

Alligator skewers make an exotic meal that tastes magical. Even if you have never tried this dish, Alligator skewers, I hope I have inspired you to try them one day. This dish is legal if bought from restaurants, alligator farms, and certain grocery shops. The people who I know have tasted these skewers do enjoy it, so I recommend you try it too.
